Bespoke products are products that are fully customised to your exact requirements. In our shop, we have standard, off the shelf items that we can make in bulk. These are made to the same pattern every time and may have a few choices in design. Most of our products are Made to Order. That means that we make them on demand. You order and we make it. This may mean, but not always, that you can have some customisation, like mixing and matching the different elements.

Bespoke products
With some of our products, however, we can make them fully bespoke. Where most parts can be changed to your exact needs. These products are marked as “Bespoke” in the shop and come with a red warning. We can, of course, make any product bespoke if you wish. You will need to contact us, and we can really make anything your heart desires. With our shop, bespoke products will be made to your specifications. So we are not really able to sell these to other customers if you decide you don’t want it. For that reason, the law provides for us to call these bespoke, and they are not covered by the Consumer Protection Act (2015).
Consumer protection act (2015) and bespoke products
The Consumer Protection Act (2015) allows anyone receiving goods, especially, goods bought online, to return the goods, for almost any reason. If you don’t like it when it arrives, or it doesn’t fit, or you just changed your mind, by law you can return them. These protections are not available for bespoke products. We want you to enjoy your bespoke products, and we have been making bespoke products for over 8 years as a limited company, and for most of us, a lot longer than that. So we pride ourselves on making it just right for you. Having said that, and the point of this page is to let you know, that if you order a bespoke product, through the shop or directly, then you do not have the right to return it for any reason at all. You also cannot refuse the delivery when it arrives. Doing so will add extra costs that you will be liable for. Namely, but not limited to, return postage costs, storage costs and redelivery costs to you (or collection by you).
Of course, this doesn’t affect your other rights in the Consumer Protection Act (2015), which remain in place.
Making sure it is what you want
We will make sure that we have been in contact with you to confirm any measurements that you provide to us. To ensure that all options have been explored and explained prior to commencing any work. We don’t start work until the final invoice is paid in full. This means that you have until this time to think about and make sure it is the right thing for you. Once you have paid the final bill, we will get started on your piece of bespoke furniture, and you will no longer have the right to cancel the order.
Ensure it is exact
With this in mind, please make sure you take your time to ensure all measurements are correct and that the finish and other elements are exactly what you want. If you need help with any element of your bespoke product, then please get in touch. We can send you a sample of wood, finishes, etc if needed to help to you make your mind up. If you complete your purchase of a bespoke product, then you will not be charged for samples as long as it is within reason. If you decided not to continue with the purchase then you will be able to have refund, less costs of samples and P&P and in some cases some time charges will be relevant.
