Storage Steps with optional third step for amazing results

Our storage steps are based on a design that is tried and tested, developed over the years on a wide array of projects. Here we have simplified the essence of a good storage step and are pleased to present it to you as an affordable, but high quality custom item. 

Simply provide the height, width and depth required, and we can calculate the tread and rise of your steps. A dimensioned drawing will be sent to you for your approval, and once you have confirmed it is correct, we will hand build your steps in our Harlow workshop and courier them to your boat. Simply fix in place, they are an easy and attractive solution to upgrade dodgy entrance ways and replace rickety old steps. 

The body is 18mm birch ply, very strong and durable. It can be left bare, or your own choice of paint, stain, varnish or oil, or we can finish it in Osmo Polyx-oil for you. Alternatively, get in touch for a full range of bespoke finish options. 

Storage Steps with the Best Tread

The treads are buffalo board, a phenolic coating on a birch ply core. This non-slip surface if a classic option, used for steps, engine boards and decks on boats everywhere.  With the soft close hinges, the storage inside is east to access and there are no lids smashing down on fingers or treads coming loose as you step back into the boat with your arms loaded with coal and shopping!

The standard design is two steps high, but if you need a third step then we offer a couple of options for this.  If you want deep storage, great for brollies and windlasses, then the tall back step is ideal. However, if you would like something a little fancier, we can offer a bottom step with integrated touch open drawer. Made with a high quality Blum Movento runner and a birch ply drawer box, this neat addition is perfect or stashing away items, or why not pop a dog bowl in there! (cat bowls also allowed)
